Do you ever feel like you are in a lunch rut? Lately I feel like my kids lunches have been the same boring PB&J so today we decided to mix things up with a healthy and silly sandwich with Oroweat Sandwich Thins.
I love these sandwich thins and use them for my lunch all the time, but I’d never thought about using them to make lunch for my kids. The multi-grain sandwich rolls are an excellent source of fiber and with 12 grams of whole grains per serving a great way to meet their daily nutritional needs. My kids love helping out in the kitchen and I’ve found that when they help prepare the meal they are more likely to eat or try new things.
To make our silly sandwich we spread one of our new favorites, 100 calorie packets of guacamole from Wholly Guacamole (these things are so convenient!) and added a face with cheese, bacon, tomatoes, and pretzels. We rounded off the meal with some extra pretzels and fresh fruit, in pretty baking cups of course!
