Rock Candy Rainbow Donuts

It has been raining here non stop.  I seriously can’t remember the last time we saw the sun, which is quite frankly starting to make me go bananas.  I don’t think I would handle living in a climate where there are gloomy skies and rain all the time, this girl needs sunshine!  But then again I’m reminded of that old saying “you can’t have a rainbow without a little rain”, and I realize sometimes you need a good storm to see the bright beginnings.  But, while I am waiting on the weather to cooperate I figured I would make my own rainbow and brighten up the day with these fun Rock Candy Rainbow Donuts.

I am a big fan of celebrating holidays with special treats.  This past year I made Cupid Floats for Valentine’s Day, Bubbling Cauldron’s for Halloween and Bunny Bait for Easter so it was only fitting that I created something equally as fun for St. Patrick’s Day.  I teamed up with Oriental Trading to show you how to create these fun and sugary sweet donuts that are perfect for St. Patrick’s Day or for those gloomy rainy days where you just need a rainbow to cheer things up!

Make sure you head over to the Oriental Trading Fun365 site to get all the details and supplies I used to create these colorful Rock Candy Rainbow Donuts.  These little treats can be made in so many different ways and they are an easy food craft that you can make with your kids.

Whether you are hosting a St. Patrick’s Day party or just want a fun after school treat you are sure to find gold, and lots of smiles, at the end of these fun and colorful Rocky Candy Rainbow Donuts.
