We went to a Pirate birthday party on Sunday and everyone was asked to dress like a pirate. One small problem…the only pirate getup we had was a pirate shirt I had just bought Parker on Saturday for Halloween.
I didn’t want to spend lots of money to deck my kids out for a birthday party so I made a quick trip to Target to see what I could find for cheap. I found a hot pink & black scarf and a hot pink tank top in the dollar spot.
The scarf was a little too thick for the girls so I folded it in half length wise and cut it down the middle. Then cut them to fit around the girls heads.
I used some sequin fabric I had (which will eventually become pillows for Aubrey’s new room) and the Cricut to cut out a pirate skull. Since this was a last minute project, as in we need to leave in 30 minutes to be at the party, I used fabric glue to adhere the skull to the girls pink tank tops.
Add a cute tutu and now you have some girly pirates ready for the party! I didn’t have time to take pictures before we left, hence the scraggly hair and dirty shirts, but aren’t they cute. 🙂
super cute and amazing those only cost a few dollars!
Love it Mariah!!! Your girls make sassy pirates!! And Parker looks pretty dang cute as well:)
