New Year’s Eve Table Setting Ideas
In the meantime let’s talk about how to create the perfect New Year’s Eve Table Setting.
New Year’s Eve is one of my favorite holidays to host a dinner party. Typically after the holidays, people are tired of staying at home, but it’s often too crowded to go out to dinner that evening. New Year’s Eve is the perfect opportunity to pull out the fancy dishes and invite your friends over for a delicious dinner.
My first tip for creating the perfect New Year’s Eve Table Setting is to decide on a color scheme. Use a neutral base color like black or navy, and sprinkle in lots of sparkly metallics. I used a navy color palette for my table setting and incorporated a few different shades of blue and lots of gold metallics.
Even adults love a few festive touches so party hats and horns were at each place setting. Tie calligraphy tags around the horns to serve as place cards.
One of my favorite details from this table setting is the DIY Countdown Clock Coasters. I used my Cricut Maker to create a bunch of these coasters that are festive touch to each place setting.
New Year’s Eve Dinner Party Menu Ideas
Whether you’ve decided to host a sit-down dinner or hearty bites, choose a menu that your guests will remember—for being both delicious and fun. One of my favorite ideas is creating a make your own pizza bar. Another fun idea is to have fondue—for the main course or dessert—it is always a great way to get the group involved in cooking and conversation.
Create a self-serve drink station where your guests can easily refill their beverages throughout the night. This year I’m sure everyone will be more than eager to toast goodbye to 2020 so be sure to have lots of champagne flutes on hand.
I’m excited about gathering around the table with a small group of friends for a fancy New Year’s Eve Dinner. I love my new DIY wood painted placemats and think they add the perfect luxurious touch to the table setting. Let’s kiss 2020 goodbye and get ready to create lots of shining moments and memories in 2021!
