I first saw this idea last year while visiting my family in Utah and I immediately loved it. It has taken me a while to get around to making some, but once I did it was super easy & the results were fantastic!
This was a Christmas gift for our parents.I cut the board to 12×24 and used the router to spiffy up the edges. I cut three 6×6 squares from a large piece of sheet metal (ok, my hubby did it because I wasn’t strong enough!) Then I cut out the saying “Count Your Blessings” on the Cricut in vinyl, attached a ribbon & custom magnets to match.
After I made the gifts I decided I really wanted one for my self. I haven’t decided where it is going to hang yet so I haven’t committed to a color scheme, but for now it is pretty in pink! And, finally I created a smaller photo frame for a friends birthday. The board is 5×7 and will hold one 4×6 picture.
The possibilities are endless and I am currently toying with the idea of adding these to my Etsy shop. What do you think, would you buy one?
I am linking this project up with a few parties, go check them out:
Blue Cricket Design: Show & Tell,

Wonderful ideas. And so personalized – make great gifts. I love them!
Why don't you come on over to my blog and visit a while
How did you attach the sheet metal to the wood? Glue? They are super cute!
I love it! i change picutres all the time and what a great way to do it without all the frames..
Thanks for joining my party Get your craft on Thurs. I hope you join me next week. Mr. Linky disappeared for a while tonight I thought I lost all of my guest, but it finally came back. I will not be using Mr. Linky anymore!
Love it! If I wasn't crafty myself I would so buy one. But since I am, I will be making one. 😀 Very pretty! TFS.
