I’m a big fan of turning simple things into Extraordinary things and I don’t think you have to be super crafty or creative to do it! Take our Easter Bunny Cupcakes from our Easter Brunch and Egg Hunt party, they are super cute, but incredibly easy to make and they definitely turn ordinary store bought cupcakes into extraordinary Easter treats!
Speaking of extraordinary I’ve teamed up with some of my talented blog friends to bring you 13 “Egg-cellent (and extraordinary) Easter projects. Make sure you pop over and visit each blogger for their tutorial and projects.

Alright, here are the details for those cute little bunny cupcakes. I came up with the idea for the cupcakes after I saw a cookie version from Sugarbelle. Even with her tutorial I knew there was no way I was going to be able to make sugar cookies that turned out half as cute. I decided making a paper version with my Cricut and printables from Dimpleprints would be more my style.
Here is what you’ll need to make these cute little bunny cupcakes:
- Cupcakes with white frosting
- Chocolate chips
- Pink Jellybeans
- Cupcake wrapper and patterned paper from Dimpleprints Easter package
- White cardstock
Cut out your bunny ears on white cardstock. Cut the inside from the patterned polkadot paper. I used my Cricut Explore to make this job super easy.
Put the cupcake wrapper around the cupcakes.
Place the chocolate chips and jellybean in the center of the cupcake to make the bunnies face. Place the paper bunny ears towards the back and gently push down to insert in the cupcake.
Put them on a plate and serve. My bunnies wanted to play in the grass so I filled in the white plate with green jellybeans.
Now you have an extraordinary Easter treat you can take to class parties, Easter Egg Hunts or even make for your special family brunch!
And to make it even easier Dimpleprints has created a free download so now you can simply print and cut out the bunny ears. I should mention that the ears on the free download are smaller than my bunnies, but still a great option.
