I’m slightly obsessed with skeletons this Halloween. I have had lots of fun adding them to my Halloween decor, including them in Murder Mystery Dinner Party and now I’m getting crafty and adding them to our Halloween cup, because let’s face in my opinion there is always room for more spooky Halloween fun! These easy DIY Skull Themed Halloween cups are perfect for entertaining or just a fun family dinner.
I love entertaining my friends and family, especially during the holiday season. It’s one of those things that brings me great joy, and like most things I believe a little attention to detail goes a long way. I love making personal cups for the guest at the party. So, I made a few monogrammed skull cups for my girlfriends. Not only is it fun, it’s practical too. Now guest don’t have to worry about where they put their cup down and enjoy the party!
Plus, like most of my favorite projects they are incredibly easy to make! All you need are a few supplies and in no time at all you’ll be sipping on ghoulishly good Halloween drinks from spooktacular cups.
Supplies:
- Black Stemless Glasses
- White Vinyl
- Vinyl Transfer Paper
- Cutting Machine
I found this fun skull design and used my Cricut to create a few skull themed cups with vinyl. I used the Monogram KK font to add each of my friends initials.
Once the design was cut I placed the transfer tape on top and smoothed it down.
Gently pull back the transfer tape and carefully center your design on the cup.
Gently press and smooth it down before peeling back the transfer tape.
Because the cup isn’t flat you will have a few bubbles in the vinyl. You can use your finger to smooth them out, however here is a tip to get it just right. Take a pair of scissors and make a small snip where it bubbles and then smooth out each side making sure the design lays flat.
That’s it, these DIY skull themed Halloween cups are an easy way to make your party the creepiest and most creative in town.
Leave us a comment and let us know what your favorite Halloween themed drink is so we can sip on it from our fabulous new cups!
