Show your appreciation for mom and all she does with an easy DIY Mother’s day Gift Basket filled with goodies she will love. One of my mom’s favorite things is baking and she especially loves baking with her grand kids, but it’s not something she has lots of time for these days. So why not make it easy and give her a special little gift basket with everything she will need to make extraordinary memories!
Recently while shopping for groceries at Market Street I spotted this adorable hand made dish towel and it reminded me of my mom so I bought it.
I knew I wanted to give it to her for Mother’s Day, but wanted something else to go with it. She happened to drop by one afternoon and invited my girls over to bake cookies and that’s when I knew it would be the perfect compliment to a sweet little basket full of baking goodies she can enjoy.
I love the cookies in a jar mixtures, they make great gifts and with so many different ways to create them you can’t go wrong. I wanted a new recipe my mom could try so I found this recipe for Double Chocolate Toffee Cookies and decided to give it a try.
You’ll need a quart sized Mason Jar and of course chocolate chips!
Layer each of the ingredients as follows, gently tapping the jar to create pretty even layers:
- 1/2 C Sugar
- 1/2 C brown sugar
- 1/4 C cocoa powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1 and 1/4 C flour
- 2/3 C chocolate chips
- 2/3 C toffee bits
- 2/3 C white chocolate chips
Screw on the lid. Cut a small square of coordinating fabric and add it for an extra special touch. Make sure you visit Crazy Little Projects and download the free printables she created for the cookie jar mix and instructions.
I love my personalized mixing spoons I found this past Christmas so I ordered my mom her own set and added them to her special Mother’s Day basket.
Delight mom’s taste buds this Mother’s Day and give her a sweet Mother’s Day Gift Basket that she can enjoy or share! Of course, we think this sweet gift basket would make great neighbor gifts, teacher appreciation gifts or a “just because gift” for friends!
Don’t forget that Market Street offers a variety of great gifts for mom. From floral, to gifts, catered dinner to treats from the bakery Market Street can help treat mom on her special day!
Such a cute gift idea! where did you find the adorable bowls and wooden spoons? I need those in my life! 🙂
I picked up the bowls at Michael’s, they are part of the new Cake Boss line they are carrying. And the wooden spoons are personalized wooden spoons from Personal Creations, you can add any saying you want to them and they are awesome!
