The summer is heating up and things are getting tropical around here as I prep for a flamingo themed birthday celebration! Yesterday I shared my easy DIY Pink Flamingo Party Cups. Now that everyone will be sipping signature drinks from pretty pink flamingo cups we need an equally festive bar cart with a tropical Pineapple Flamingo Banner.
This is another super simple project you can complete in less than 30 minutes with your Cricut. One of the things I love most about my Cricut is the versatility. You can create your own one-of-a-kind designs or you can use one of the many Make It Now projects available in the Cricut Design Space.
I love the pineapple garland that Kim from The TomKat Studio created and shared as a Make It Now project. I went to Cricut Design Space and selected the project and in just a few minutes I had shiny gold pineapples. I used the same flamingo image that I used on the Pink Flamingo Party Cups and cut them out on pink cardstock.
Now that I had my gold pineapples and pink flamingos it was time to make them into a super simple banner. I used pink twine and glue dots to attach the pineapples and flamingos to the banner.
Once the banner was ready I hung it up with mini pink pennant flags to create a festive tropical drink station.
I thought our party needed a little extra flair so I also cut out mini pink flamingo and gold pineapple confetti. It’s amazing how precise the Cricut will cut these tiny little designs.
Are you a fan of the pineapple and flamingo trend? What do you think of this simple Pineapple Flamingo Banner, what would you use it for?

i am new to using the Cricut and would like to try this, however, I cannot find the pattern and instructions. Can you please point me in the right direction? Thanks!
Hi Sallie, I found the designs for the pineapple and flamingo in Cricut Design space. I simply did a search and picked the images I liked best. Do you use Design Space? Feel free to email me at mariah{at}gigglesgalore{dot}net if you have trouble or other questions.
Hi there,
Lovee all the bold colors and the creative banner! Can’t wait to try it for my daughter’s 1st. Can I ask where you got that cute mint colored tray from?
Thanks Rosie, that will be such a cute party theme for a 1st birthday! I found the tray at Target last year, it’s one of my favorites. 😉
Thank you so much! I should have known, Target has everything! 😉
Thank you for sharing this DIY! I love the gold pineapples, I would love to know where you got the gold paper you used?
Thanks Lauren! I found the gold paper at Michaels in their scrapbook section.
