My mom recently made some changes to her living room and had a HUGE empty wall that needed some sprucing up. My mother is an avid reader/collector of books (a fanatic really) and has them proudly displayed in every room of the house. This was my inspiration for transforming her boring wall.
Months ago when I saw Living with Lindsay’s book wreath I added it to my “crafts I must make” list and decided this was the perfect opportunity. Over 1200 pages and several glue gun burns later it was perfect (so much so I think I might make one for my house!)
Next, I made a monogrammed canvas just like the one I made here. I covered the wooden “Y” with pages from a book, distressed it and then painted the canvas, found coordinating scrapbook paper and fabric trim to complete the look.I love this quote “Home is Where Your Story Begins…” and knew it would be the perfect finishing touch, so I ordered the vinyl quote from Off the Wall Expressions.
I enlisted the help of my favorite handy man
Added an assortment of picture frames and my moms favorite pictures and that big boring wall has been transformed into this…
I love it! This was a simple project that made a huge impact. Did I mention I love it!

This looks amazing. You did such a great job.
