You can’t go on a safari without your trusty gear, and these DIY safari binoculars will make sure you don’t miss a thing during your wild adventure.
I had intentions of purchasing binoculars and hats for my nephew’s Safari Party, but time slipped away from me and when I finally got a chance to look for them I couldn’t find them anywhere locally and it was too late to order anything online. This unfortunate mistake turned into one of my favorite party details…DIY Safari Binoculars.
My sister and I decided to make our own binoculars for the kids using paper towel rolls, animal print duct tape and string. Here are the easy steps to create your binoculars, perfect for any wild adventure.
You’ll Need:
- Paper Towel Roll (cut in half) or Toilet Paper Rolls
- Black Spray Paint
- Animal Print Duct Tape
- Yarn or String
- Hot Glue
- Hole Punch
First, spray paint your paper towel rolls
Once those are dry, punch a hole on in each of the rolls.
Next, Dab a little hot glue on the side to help them stick together
Wrap the duct tape around the center of the glued together rolls
Finally, tie string to each side
Now head off on a wild safari adventure with your DIY safari binoculars!
