If you are a parent you’ve probably uttered the phrase “Oh how time flies, I can’t believe a year has gone by!” Which is why I think there is something so special about coming together to celebrate that important milestone first birthday. Especially, when it is as darling as this Yellow and Pink Puppy Party from We Heart Parties. Some of my favorite elements are the sweet invitations, the birthday girl’s adorable yellow lab “pupcake” and the dog bone striped straws.
Here is what Kelsey said about the party: “Ever since my daughter Kate was born, she and our yellow lab have been inseparable They are best friends, and this relationship has developed into Kate’s serious love of all dogs. Therefore, as her first birthday was approaching, I knew a puppy party, ahem, Pawty, was in order. I chose a bright yellow and pink color scheme: pink for our baby girl and yellow for our yellow lab. The party was largely based around the fabulous chevron printables designed by Blugrass Designs. I incorporated chevron fabric from JoAnns and chevron wrapping paper to make the table pop!
The kids were kept busy by Playing Fetch, Adpoting Puppies, and a “Make Your Own Puppy Ears” craft. The Puppy Ears craft was simply head bands, felt, and felt stickers from the craft store. I like to keep some of the party prep simple for me so a lot of the food was store bought (Chex Mix = Kibbles & Bits; homemade puppy chow, Scooby Graham Snacks = Puppy Biscuits store bought Rice Krispies Treats, salami & cheese, “pupcorn,” and veggies). Friends with dogs brought their pups and they played in the “Dog Park” out back.
All in all it was a perfect way to celebrate my dog-loving Kate’s first birthday!”
Don’t you just love this “Pawty?” Thanks Kelsey, for letting us feature your daughter’s yellow and pink Puppy Party!
