When my kids were younger I would dress them in their cutest outfits, load up the diaper bag and head out to a weekly play date where I got a much needed break and the chance to talk to other moms while my kids laughed and played. Those play dates were vital to my sanity in the early years, it was comforting to talk to other moms about what was happening in our lives and discuss toddler frustrations. Fast forward a few years and we no longer have weekly play dates, but with Halloween just around the corner I thought it was the perfect time to host a fun afternoon play date with our friends. Our Mummy and Me Play Date is the perfect soiree for “mummy” and her kids, with spooktacular ideas and easy mummy themed treats your friends will love catching up and celebrating those special friendships.
This play date is full of fun ideas that are easy to recreate and won’t break the bank. With just a few mummy themed treats and activities this is a celebration ever”mummy” will love!
I decided to set up a small dessert table with mummy themed treats for our play date. Our little guest could snack on Mummy Munch, Graveyard Pudding, Mummy Morsels, Mummy Cakes, and sip on Mummy Juice.
For me half the fun of hosting a play date is creating all of the personalized and fun details. I used mummy themed printables from Bloom Designs Online and colorful party supplies from Michaels to decorate. With a roll of white crepe paper and a package of googly eyes you can transform those ordinary snacks into Extraordinary treats that the kiddos will love. My kids love the NABISCO Go-Paks!, and at only $1 each at Walmart, they are great for parties. And with this coupon you can save even more, download the BUY ONE, GET ONE FREE NABISCO Go-Paks! coupon now!
Kids love creating their own masterpiece treats, so for our play date we set out supplies so they could create their own Funny Mummy treats. To start we used the white crepe to wrap the Go-Paks! like a mummy. I placed a dab of hot glue on the end of the crepe paper and stuck it to the back side of the container. Continue wrapping the crepe paper around the container until it is completely covered. Finish it by gluing on the googly eyes. I added purple bows to some of the containers to make them look like girl mummies.
Now the kids are ready to create their very own Funny Mummy treats, a tasty layered dessert with a crunchy bite. The kids could pick their favorite Snack Pack Pudding flavor and Go-Paks! We started by dumping out some of the cookies so there was few remaining on the bottom.
Next, we added a layer of pudding on top of the cookies.
We topped that layer off with a layer of cool Reddi-wip.
Repeat the layers until the container is full. Let the kids dig in with mummy wrapped spoons for a delightfully spooky, mummy approved Halloween treat!
Don’t forget to plan some fun activities for the kids. Our favorite is Mummy Bowling, it’s a crowd favorite and so easy to recreate.
That’s a wrap, don’t forget to send everyone home with a mummy themed party favor.
This Halloween plan a Mummy and Me Play Date for the favorite “mummies” and kiddos in your life and celebrate the friendships that make life EXTRAORDINARY!

This is a fabulous idea! Is the “That’s a wrap” tag available to print. I would love to use it for my daughters upcoming party but was not able to find it on your site. Thank you
