It’s day three of Teacher Appreciation Week! Today I’m sharing a teacher appreciation gift and free “Teachers Lead in the ‘Write’ Direction” printable.
Teachers work hard to teach our children academics, but they also lead our youth to discover their passion and potential and spend countless hours encouraging them along the way. I come from a family of teachers and I recently asked what types of gifts they would like to receive for Teacher Appreciation Week. While gift cards or school supplies ranked at the top of the list, each of them said that a handwritten “thank you” is one of the most precious gifts they could receive. My sister, who is a kindergarten teacher, even has a touching note a student wrote several years ago proudly displayed in a frame. It’s a treasured gift and the inspiration for today’s Teacher Appreciation gift idea.
I covered a composition notebook with scrapbook paper and then had my daughter write a sweet note on the first page inside the notebook. I tied some pencils and the free “Teachers Lead in the Write Direction” tag from Dimpleprints to the front of the notebook.
As a little extra “thank you” I bought a $5 gift card to Starbucks so she can enjoy a latte while jotting down notes in her new notebook. Another simple, inexpensive yet heartfelt way to say thank you during Teacher Appreciation Week.
Are you a teacher? I’d love to hear what your favorite gifts have been or what you hope to receive this year.

I love this Mariah!! Thank you for the great idea. It’s my first year giving a teacher something (my son is 3 in preK) and I’m clueless. This is great because I don’t know her too well and anyone can like this type of gift. You rock!!
Thanks Alejandra! Teachers can always use note books, add a little gift card for supplies or a latte and she’ll love you!
