I’ll admit out of the three meals I prepare for my family breakfast is my least favorite and the one I have the hardest time with. Everyone is usually in a rush during the week so frozen waffles, yogurt and cereal end up being my go-to morning meals. While I’d love to be making pancakes and waffles from scratch or serving thick cut bacon and eggs it’s probably not going to happen on a regular basis, which is why family took the Yoplait Greek Taste-Off.
I’m not a big fan of yogurt, but my kids love it and I’m always looking for healthier breakfast options for our family. I was excited to participate in the Yoplait Greek Taste-Off in hopes of finding a quick and healthy breakfast option, but as a non-yogurt fan I’ll admit I was a little reluctant.
I set up the taste test between Yoplait Greek Blueberry and Chobani Greek Blueberry Fruit on the Bottom.
I put the yogurt in mini tasting cups so the kids wouldn’t know which was which. With mini wooden tasting spoons we tried each yogurt. Prepared to gag down the yogurt I picked up a spoon and gave each one a try. To my surprise not only did I manage to keep it down, I discovered that I really liked the thicker, creamier texture of the Yoplait Greek Blueberry yogurt. It was almost like I was eating a dessert, and I love desserts!
My kids all voted for the Yoplait Greek Blueberry yogurt as well and said they liked it best because it was sweeter. All I could think is “great, we all like it because it’s like eating dessert which means this stuff is probably loaded with sugar.” After looking at the ingredients on the back of each container I was surprised to learn that not only does the Yoplait Greek Blueberry yogurt have less sugar than the Chobani Greek Blueberry Fruit on the Bottom yogurt, it also had less calories. Turns out the Yoplait Greek yogurt is also a much healthier option than the yogurt I was buying my kids for breakfast.
I think I’ve found a new breakfast option that will help make mornings just a tad bit easier and healthier too! Tossed with a handful of homemade granola and fresh fruit the Yoplait Greek Blueberry yogurt will be a new go-to breakfast option for this mom who can’t always pull it together in the morning.

Looks delicious! We love yogurt, so I’m definitely going to give this a try the next time I shop. Thanks for sharing.
Love, love, love your cups and spoons! Also, your photos are beautiful! Yoplait won our taste test too. Yummy!
Thank you Vicky, it was fun to try…who doesn’t love a taste test! 🙂
We love greek yogurt too. Will have to give it a try!
Yoplait is our favorite of the Greek yogurts too! Thanks for the coupon link!
Okay I completely agre with the Yoplait Greek yogurt being the winner. I decided I was going to start eating better and had heard amazing things about Greek yogurt and had tried another first and was not sure how people eat it because of the thickness and vowed to never try Greek yogurt again. A few months later I tried the Yoplait Greek yogurt and was shocked at how good it was. I took the taste challenge without even knowing it!
This makes we want to go out and purchase Yoplait Greek yogurt to try it out. Sounds delicious.
