Summer Entertaining Tip: Cloth Napkins vs. Paper

Hands-down one of our favorite things about summer is entertaining friends and family. We love gathering our favorite people for backyard BBQs, impromptu picnics and pool parties. Nothing beats soaking in the sunshine and spending cool nights with good food and great friends, making extraordinary memories. But all that organizing can get a little overwhelming, and paper goods can get costly.  To keep the focus on fun, I am sharing one of my favorite summer party prep tips, with the help of OxiClean™ Versatile Stain Remover.

Enjoy Stamped Napkin

I used to only use cloth napkins for fancy occasions like Christmas, but a while back I decided to cut down on some of our family’s waste and switched to using cloth napkins all the time. Including when we entertain family and friends. Let’s face it, presentation is important and I’ve always believed that the magic of hosting any event is in the details. I created custom DIY stamped napkins to use for those occasions when we entertain. Using cloth napkins vs. paper has become one of my favorite new party tips.

Entertaining with DIY Stamped Napkins

Cloth napkins not only help cut down on waste, but they are much more durable too.  When was the last time you ate BBQ and only used one paper napkin? Using cloth napkins helps cut down on the number of paper products you toss in a landfill. I know what you are thinking, but won’t they be ruined with stains?! Not if you use my secret weapon, OxiClean™ Versatile Stain Remover.

Scoop of OxiClean

I was first introduced to OxiClean™ when my daughter was born, three kids later my days were consumed with laundry and lots and lots of stains. OxiClean™ changed my laundry-filled life and I’ve been using it ever since to keep stains at bay and my whites whiter.

Food stains don’t stand a chance with this stain-fighting powerhouse. After the party I simply toss the DIY stamped cloth napkins in the wash, add a scoop of OxiClean™ and watch the magic happen. Note, for tough stains like BBQ sauce I always pre-soak my white napkins with the OxiClean™ Versatile Stain Remover. These brilliant white napkins keep our summer parties looking fresh and fun!
