September is the unofficial start of all things Pumpkin Spice, and my family loves it! One of our favorite treats is homemade donuts. They are super easy and fun to make, and you can make just about any flavor you can imagine. These delicious treats would be perfect on a crisp fall morning with your favorite latte.
I made these donuts with my Nostalgia Electrics donut maker, but you could use a donut pan too.
What You Will Need:
- 1 Box Yellow Cake Mix
- 1 Cup Pumpkin Puree
- 1/2 Cup Water
- 1/4 Cup Cinnamon Apple Sauce
- 1 Egg
- 1 Tsp Pumpin Spice
- Fresh ground nutmeg and cinnamon
Mix ingredients together and pipe into pan or donut maker. Cook at 350* for 15 min until a toothpick comes clean if you are using a donut pan. I leave the donuts in the donut maker for about 30 seconds past the cook time.
Carefully remove the donuts and allow to cool on a cooling rack.
Once they are cool, dust with powdered sugar and enjoy!
I made about 5 or 6 dozen mini donuts with my donut maker. Since I don’t need to eat all of those donuts, I packaged them up in little berry baskets from Oriental Trading Company and shared them with friends!
Happy Pumpkin Spice Season.
