I’ve mentioned it before, but I think my love of entertaining started early as a child. I have lots of fond memories of our house always being filled with friends or family and lots of yummy food! Around the holidays you could guarantee that my mom would make and serve her famous Pineapple Cheese Ball at least once.
I thought I’d bring back a family favorite for our Thanksgiving festivities and my mom’s cheese ball recipe pairs perfectly with my cheese board appetizer. If you’re entertaining this holiday season you don’t want to miss my tips for putting together the perfect cheese board and you absolutely must add this pineapple cheese ball recipe to your party line-up.
This creamy cheese ball is easy to make (see below for the recipe), but here are a few tips to make sure it turns out just right.
Make sure the cream cheese is room temperature so it will be easier to mix. Meanwhile, thoroughly drain the crushed pineapple. You want to make sure you get every last drop of liquid out so your cheese ball isn’t runny.
Now that you’ve mixed everything together it’s time to roll it into a ball. But, before you start you’ll want to pop the mixture into the fridge for 5-10 minutes to make it easier to work with.
Your next step is to roll the cheese mixture into a ball and cover it with nuts. Add the cheese ball to your cheese board for a unique texture and blend of flavors.
Serve with a sweet cranberry punch for the perfect party pair.
