I needed a bunch of classroom gifts this year, but didn’t want anything that was sugar loaded or required a bunch of time. I made homemade pumpkin pie play dough for Thanksgiving and decided that something like that would be perfect to hand out to our friends at school. I used the recipe The Idea Room shared and added red food coloring to make ours a little more colorful.
I purchased the little containers from the Dollar Tree (there were 8 per package) and filled them with the homemade play dough.
I found these free peppermint holiday tags from Cupcake Express and knew they would be perfect to attach to our goody bags. Ashley from Cupcake Express was super sweet and also made some Peppermint Play Dough labels for me so I could add them to the containers (I wanted to make sure parents knew what it was.)
I put a container and a few candy canes in clear cellophane bags and tied them with red and white twine. These were easy, inexpensive and fun gifts to hand out to classmates.

This is so fun! I love it. I featured it in my round up today: http://www.vixenmade.com/2013/12/10-unique-diy-gifts.html
