WOW, I can’t believe I haven’t posted anything since Nov 18th! We have been busy! My sister got married, hubby & I got to take a week cruise w/out the kids, and the holidays have officially arrived and kept us running from one thing to the next.
Anyway, I was excited to finally be able to do a muffin tin meal and participate in MTM. I didn’t check the theme until this morning, but was thrilled to see it was “Christmas Breakfast.” One of my family’s favorite Christmas traditions is Christmas breakfast. We always have scones with lots of butter & gooey honey or homemade jam. My mom has been making scones for Christmas breakfast for as long as I can remember & it something we all anticipate! I was not about to whip out a vat of oil to fry scones this morning so we improvised.I decided if we couldn’t have our favorite Christmas breakfast we would at least have a fun one! We made gingerbread girl waffles & decorated her with yogurt, blueberries, chocolate chips, almonds, sprinkles & syrup.
Little Miss A. really enjoyed this one and it was fun to watch her really enjoy herself. Even the twins got in on some of the action, minus all the mess! 🙂
To complete our “Christmas” morning Aubrey wanted to play “Baby Jesus” her new favorite thing. *Interpretation for “Baby Jesus”: Little People Nativity*
Great idea, I love the little gingerbread men. I haven't posted anything for a while, the time just gets away from you during this season.
Such cute gingerbread people!
Great variety of toppings to decorate. Fun!
I love decorating idea. I have never had fried scones. I love scones though.
What a great idea! How fun!
A great idea. A few people seem to have done something like this and I think it looks like so much fun.
