Award season is here! I can’t wait for the Oscars on Sunday. Not only do I love seeing what films and actors take home the top honors, it’s a great excuse to host a girls night. Join me on the red carpet to celebrate the Oscars and host your own glam Girls Night Oscar Viewing Party.
Once again I’ve teamed up with my favorite party company, Oriental Trading to show some simple, creative and oh so glam Oscar viewing party ideas that will make even the stars envious! I’m sharing everything from creative DIY Bow Tie Napkins to delicious recipes like our Shimmery Raspberry Cocktail.
As a girl I dreamed of being in the movies, and while I never made it to the silver screen I truly love when award season rolls around. This year I’m embracing my childhood dream of being a star and inviting my girlfriends over to walk the red carpet and attend a VIP night of fun!
Are you one of those people that just tune in to the Oscars for the red carpet fashion? Checking out the celebrities and their shimmery gowns before the awards show starts is one of my favorite parts too, so I used that as my inspiration for our Glam Oscars party. I set up a red carpet ready display in my living room so my friends and I could stay close to the action on TV while enjoying delicious snacks and drinks.
In addition to movie worthy snacks and drinks, I also set up an Oscar Party Photo Booth. Everybody loves a photo booth and now your guest can feel just like the movie stars walking the red carpet.
Like any photo booth there were lots of laughs, fun and even applause as our guest accepted their own Oscars. I made my own dreams of holding an Oscar come true with these DIY Oscars Awards. These fun and creative awards highlighted the favorite things about our friends and made great props in the photo booth.
Make sure you head over to the Oriental Trading blog to see all of the creative party ideas, recipes and DIY craft projects for your own glam Girls Night Oscar Viewing Party.

Pear and Gorgonzola Cheese Bites
This theme is so much fun. I wonder if anyone stops talking about the outfits long enough to discuss the movies. Having a themed buffet all set up would just add to the flare and fun.
Love this idea.
Mariah, I love this! I did something similar (movie premiere) for my baby shower 10 years ago. Your ideas are awesome. This is right up my alley. #OMHGFF
