Hello there friends! St. Patrick’s Day is that special holiday where anyone can be Irish for the day. I know so many people that go absolutely crazy celebrating the day and even take off of work to make it their own personal holiday party every year. Then there are some who just quietly celebrate being Irish or wishing they were, in their own ways. No matter where you fall on the celebratory spectrum of this holiday, I think it’s safe to say we all feel blessed and we all hope and wish for a little extra luck, since after all, being lucky is so synonymous with the joy that is, St. Patrick’s Day!
For this particular print, I wanted it to have a St. Patrick’s Day vibe for sure but I also didn’t want it to be too over-the-top. So when I was sketching out some ideas, I landed on this. LUCKY to be blessed. I think it’s one of those sayings that can definitely be used all throughout the year as well as for St. Patrick’s Day. It’s a win-win my friends! 😉 I also really wanted to keep the colors more subdued so it would match many of your homes and color schemes. As you can see, I went with a black and white color palette with a gold banner and just a touch of green.
Do you decorate for the holidays every month? Me, personally I go all out for the BIG holidays . . .Christmas, Halloween & birthdays but for these smaller type holidays I have found that I LOVE just picking ONE area and doing a couple little things. For example, the spot in my home I chose is my mantel in my living room. I change it out for these smaller holidays by simply adding an art print to my existing decor and then adding a couple decor pieces that compliment the colors used in the artwork to give it a cohesive look and that seems to work just fine for me and my family. It keeps my decorating simple but also fresh every month in this area and gives me enough variety to not get bored with my decor.
