Football Flag Stirrers and Cups

I love making drink stirrers! Even if no one uses them but me, I find that they add a pop of color to your drinks and your table setup. These Football Flag Stirrers and Picks are easy enough to make that you really won’t mind if they get tossed out at the end of the day. Add a coordinating set of toothpicks, and you’ve got everything you need for a touchdown party (see what I did there?). They’ll take your easy football party to the next level!

Football Banner

You will need:

  • Ribbon
  • Toothpicks
  • Wooden Stirrers
  • Glue gun
  • Scissors

Directions:

Cut your ribbon into little flags. I made rectangular ones, fanion (pointed) ones, and swallowtail (double pointed) ones. I added a black and white striped one for the referee but you could also make yellow penalty flags!

Place your ribbon face down. Put a thin line of glue on your toothpick and press it onto the flag ribbon. Once it cools, pop it into your food or drink, and enjoy!

Football Cups

In what might be the cheapest and easiest DIY I’ve ever done, here are some simple football cups! These are perfect for when you want to add a bit of flair to your gathering, but all you have are ordinary party cups. You can also customize these to your party colors, which isn’t so easy when you’re shopping for football party supplies!

You will need:

  • Cups
  • White Acrylic Paint or a White Sharpie (oil based)

Directions:

Draw a thick line down the middle of your cup, then add three shorter lines going sideways

Let dry. That’s it!

I found that the acrylic paint was better for this than the oil-based sharpie. Since you kind of have to press down on the sharpie to make the paint come out, it rolls the cup around, whereas the paintbrush glides the paint right on. I found the acrylic paint easier to use, so that’s my recommendation.

SCORE! How easy are these crafts? I tend to overdo it, so I like that these projects are all quick and easy. If you are looking for more football party inspiration make sure you check out my easy football party banner. I bet you could do all these projects in just an hour or two! I always like to pop on my favorite show while I do my crafts. My current obsession: The Fosters!

With these adorable football décor goodies, you’ll have everything you need to take your next gathering up a notch. Because whether you’re as plain-Jane as my future husband, or as elaborate as Martha Stewart, every party could use a little pizzazz.
