I can’t decide if I’m excited or sad, but whether I’m ready or not school is almost over! At the beginning of the school year I created a Back to School Interview to help us document the start of a new school year. Our kids seem to be growing up way too fast and I want to remember these precious days and their excitement as they enter each new grade and milestone.
As the year comes to a close I thought it would be fun to compare just how much they have changed and created this End of School Interview Printable to help us celebrate and reflect on the past year in school. With this fun, FREE printable we can see just how much has changed over the year and we are even making some predictions about next year!
Download the Free End of School Interview and have your student answer the questions. If you filled out the Back to School Interview you can compare notes to see if their answers changed throughout the year, and you can also see how their handwriting and spelling has improved.
And I even gave them some summertime treats to celebrate the end of school! A beach bucket and pail filled with DIY Popsicle candy and sunglasses are a great way to kick off the start of summer, don’t you think?!
I took a “Last Day of School” picture to keep with our interview and while the changes may be subtle day to day, it is amazing to compare the “First Day of School” photo to the last. I can’t believe how grown up my little ones are starting to look (sniff! sniff!)
On one hand I’m looking forward to a more relaxed schedule, spending some quality time with my kids and a few fun family vacations we have planned this summer. On the other hand I’m not prepared for juggling work and all three kids at home, the insane heat or the fact that my twins will be starting kindergarten when the summer is over, but ready or not school is almost out for the summer!
How do you celebrate the end of school?

I’m creating a ‘Baby File Box’ and am going to include your First and Last Day of School printables! They are really nice!

Thank you Sheila. That is such a great idea to create a box with all the files a mom will need to record those special moments.
