Bacon Wrapped Water Chestnuts

Serves: 3 dozen
  • 3 cans whole Water Chestnuts
  • 1 lb bacon
  • ⅔ cup ketchup
  • ⅓ cup brown sugar
  • 1 TBSP Coca-Cola
  1. Cut the bacon slices in half.
  2. Wrap each water chestnut in bacon and place on a baking sheet.
  3. Bake the bacon wrapped water chestnuts on 425 for 30-40 minutes, or until bacon is crisp.
  4. Remove from the oven, degrease on a paper towel and then carefully transfer the bacon wrapped water chestnuts to a crockpot.
  5. Combine the ketchup, brown sugar and Coca-Cola and whisk until smooth. Pour over the bacon wrapped water chestnuts and gently stir to incorporate the sauce.
