Anyone who knows me knows that I hate clutter and can’t stand for things to not be in their proper home! I am notorious for throwing things away because they were in a spot they didn’t belong. This pet peeve of mine has become increasingly difficult to manage since the kids came along and our lives have gotten a little more hectic. I recently noticed our bathroom counter had become a catch all, so I set out to change that.
I stumbled upon this brilliant idea while blog surfing one night. I thought, easy peesy I can do that! So I visited my local thrift store and found the perfect tray. I painted it and added scrapbook paper to the bottom. Then I got out my new friend Modge Podge and slapped on a quick coat to make it a little bit more durable. Done.
During our recent trip to Utah I got to raid an old house with thousands of beautiful bottles. I wasn’t sure what I was going to do with them or how I would get them home, but I had to have them. These 3 have a new home in the bathroom. I plan to put them to practical use, but wasn’t sure what I wanted to put in them yet.
And there you have it a new and improved, clutter free bathroom counter. The frame still needs a picture, but I didn’t have one I liked. Total cost – $6.
