Simply Delicious

I have been on a new quest lately for simple, delicious and healthy recipes. With my sister's wedding quickly approaching and the thought of being in a swimsuit for 5 days (we are going on a cruise) it is a must that I lose a few pounds. My challenge is my hubby who insist we have "meat" with dinner and "no diet food" so you can imagine my excitement when I ran across this recipe for Chicken Parmesan Subs. This super easy, quick and healthy recipe came from Eating Well and it's definitely … [Read more...]

Wild Wonders

We loaded up the kids and took them to the Ft. Worth Zoo for a fun filled day with monkeys, lions, gorillas and much, much more. There was so much to see and do and the kids were full of smiles the entire day. Aubrey, Aubrey Shopping with Mama

Aubrey waited all day for Daddy to come home so she could play dress up with him, unfortunately when he got home we needed to run some errands. She was all dressed up and insisted she wear her blue dress shopping with her fancy shoes, hey who am I to argue. Beside the fact that she looked adorable, I reasoned that every girl needs to dress up and be fancy on occasions for no reason at all. So off we went shopping and here are some pictures from our outing. She walked up to the mannequin and … [Read more...]

Muffin Tin Monday -Faces

We cheated and made our muffin tin on Sunday because Daddy thought this was a fun one and didn't want to miss out on the action (plus it was helpful to have an extra set of hands.)The theme was People/Faces so we decided to play with our food and make "pizza faces." Here is what was in our muffin tin...Pizza Sauce, mozzarella cheese, turkey pepperoni, mushrooms, black olives, red bell pepper and cheddar cheese.Everyone got an English Muffin that they could use to create their faces. Climbing Adventure

Today while we were fixing dinner Miss A. asked to eat outside and since it was fairly pleasant we decided that was a great idea. We enjoyed a new recipe for low-fat pulled pork sandwiches and ramen noodle salad, yummy! After dinner the kids were playing in the back yard running, giggling and generally being silly. I was enjoying the moment and trying to take in the sweet sound of laughter from my kids. The next thing I know I look over and see this...Yep that's right, my 11 month old son is … [Read more...]
