Summer is slowly winding down and before you know it we will be headed back to school.  This year document all of the anticipation and excitement with a new family tradition, a Back to School Interview!

Giggles Galore Back to School Interview

Last year I sent my oldest off to kindergarten and I loved seeing how much she changed throughout the year, but this year I decided to document some of the changes.  This back to school interview is the perfect place to start.  I’ve also made a Back to School Time Capsule, which we will be adding the completed interview to.

Back to School Interview and Time Capsule

I thought it would be fun to have the kids fill out the interview on the first day of school and then we could compare answers (and handwriting) on the last day of school.  I’ve created a Back to School Interview Printable which you can download for free.  Click HERE to download.

Back to School Interview

We’ve also created an updated Back to School Version that you can download and use before the kiddos actually head back to school.

Alright, it’s confession time…are you ready for school to start?

I love this idea. My little girl starts Kindergarten this year, but I wish I would have seen this before my older boys had started school. That is alright a new tradition will just now be made :). I am going to scan their answers and put them into a hard bound book though. Then have it at the Graduation Party. Thank you so much for this idea I can not wait to see my kids grow and change in these interviews.

I could totally write your story word for word as I also got married young. Anyhoo, how would you change the interview questions for a 12/13 year old? TY.

Thanks for stopping by, I’m so glad you’ve found inspiration from some of my ideas. For the interview I would suggest asking questions about some of their favorite interest/sports/hobbies. Also, consider asking questions about what subjects they like most, least and what they think they are best at. It will be fun to see how the answers change at the end of the year. Have fun!

Who’s traveling for the holidays? We are off on a winter adventure in the Berkshires. Sadly, the weather looks like more rain than snow, but we can’t wait to spend time with our family making memories!

And this cute little DIY snow globe ornament I made with some old lids and my @cricut will be the perfect way to commemorate this year’s Christmas adventure!

Our family tradition is to go all out for Christmas dinner on Christmas Eve and then to do a simple breakfast of pastries, scones and jam Christmas morning?

I like to relax and enjoy the magic of the morning so I always want Christmas breakfast to be easy! This Poinsettias & Plaid themed Christmas brunch is as easy as they come.

What traditions do you have when it comes to Christmas meals? Are you team Christmas breakfast or dinner?

I hope your holiday season as been as merry and br I hope your holiday season as been as merry and bright as this giant DIY balloon wreath!

Balloons have always been a party staple and are an inexpensive way to add color and pizzazz to any celebration. I originally made this balloon wreath a few years ago and I’ve made a few different variations, and shared the step-by-step tutorials over the years. I just love how happy it makes the space look and feel.

Do you use balloons as decorations for your parties?

Have you heard?! The Light The World @texasgiving Have you heard?!

The Light The World @texasgivingmachine is in North Texas!

The Giving Machine makes donating to charity’s as easy as buying a candy bar. There are Three Machines. Ten Charities. Thirty Items. And the opportunity for you to change countless lives with this fun and unique giving experience!
❤️❤️❤️
I first heard about the Giving Machines a few years ago when I was in Utah for my grandma’s funeral. We were heartbroken, but when I heard there were machines where we could give back and choose items that would make a difference in people’s lives I knew it was the exact type of thing that my grandmother would do. So I loaded up my kids, and drove them an hour to experience giving back during the holidays. It was a bright light in the midst of our sorrow and a cherished memory.

So I was super excited when I learned the Giving Machines would be right here in @downtownmckinney.
If you are in the area I highly encourage you to celebrate the season and give back with this fun and unique giving experience!
