Under the Sea

One of our sweet friends recently had a birthday and her mom asked me to create some centerpieces for the party.  The party was at Build-a-Bear, so most of it was spent making cute fluffy bears.

Do you see that cute scuba bear?  Darling, I want one!
Aubrey with her ballerina bear.  This was our first time to visit Build-a-Bear and she loved it!

The birthday girl loves Little Mermaid so she wanted the decorations to tie in with the cake and party plates she purchased.  I used the Life’s a Beach cartridge and made a few simple decorations, put them in colorful pails and added some seashells.

I love this new cartridge and can’t wait to make more with it!  Isn’t that mermaid cute?

For the birthday girl I made her a suitcase to match the party color scheme.

Under the Sea

I saw this great blog a while back that featured Muffin Tin Monday and loved the idea. I have done several “muffin tin” meals with Aubrey, but today’s was the first I documented. We didn’t have anything to eat for lunch today so I had to make a trip to the grocery store with all three kiddos (in the pouring rain) to get something to eat and decided that we would play along with today’s muffin tin theme. Here is our version of MTM – Under the Sea…

Back Row: “Fishing Rod & Bait” (pretzel rods & peanut butter), “Ocean Creatures” (Finding Nemo Fruit Snacks), “Starfish” (Mango).
Front Row: “School of Fish” (goldfish crackers), “Octopus” (hot dog), “Seashells & Seaweed” (past shells & parsley)
We also had “Ocean Water” (water w/blue food coloring) and our “Fish bowl” cupcake.

Aubrey LOVED lunch and thought it was very yummy. Her favorite part was the cupcake…blue icing everywhere!

I have decided to carry the “Under the Sea” theme throughout the rest of our week so stay tuned for more underwater adventures.
