Mardi Gras Roundup

Mardi Gras is the ultimate party and while I don’t have big plans to celebrate this year I thought I would share some purple, green and gold inspiration to get you in the party mood.

Chances are if you have kids you won’t be out celebrating on Bourbon Street, but that doesn’t mean you can’t still enjoy the party!  Make this easy King Cake from Relish, let the kids make party masks and watch The Princess and the Frog for a little Bayou fun!

Don’t you just love this coin bracelet from Dixie Delights.  Makes me wish I’d held onto all those coins from past Mardi Gras.

If you are feeling ambitious Sweetopia shows you how to make these beautiful Mardi Gras mask cookies.

Love and Sugar Kisses made some beautiful fondant cupcake toppers to celebrate, including a teeny tiny baby and king cake.

Maddycakes Muse decorates for the party with beads, doubloons and glittered ornaments.

And even if you don’t have big plans for Mardi Gras this year you can always use these fun (and FREE) cupcake toppers from TomKat Studio to add a little festive touch to dinner tonight!

  1. Fun ideas. I threw a small Mardi Gras at work and my co-workers loved it. How can you not be in a good mood with all the great colours of Mardi Gras :)
