I am loving our summer break and the free time I’ve had to spend with my kids. It’s been refreshing not to run from one activity to the next and there is no pressure to keep up with homework assignments or school paperwork. But, I still believe it is extremely important to keep the learning process going and their minds active. Which is why I was super excited when Kiwi Crate contacted me about reviewing their Summer crates for kids.
Have you heard of Kiwi Crate before? They are a monthly subscription service targeted at ages 3-7 to encourage hands-on fun, creativity and curiosity in children. Every month they ship a crate to your door filled with materials and projects centered around a theme, such as dolls, bugs, dinosaurs, robots, gardening and more! Each crate contains all the supplies you need to create 2-3 projects. They are designed to spark creativity and have been kid tested and approved, so you can be sure your children will have lots of fun while learning too!
A few weeks ago I received a package with the Nature Explorer crate, part of their Summer Discovery Pack and two mini crates. When we opened our crate we found a picture and details of the projects we would be creating, a starlight lantern and nature collection box. I was very impressed that the crate provided absolutely everything you needed to complete the crafts. No hunting for glue, crayons or other supplies, they’ve put everything in there for you! Each project also came with a booklet of instruction, they were clear and easy to read, which gave my oldest an opportunity to practice reading and following directions.
The nature collection box was the ideal project for my twins. They loved coloring the stickers and decorating their little boxes. Each box came with 4 different collection sheets and it was fun to see how the twins each picked different themes. They had lots of fun exploring and looking for treasures to fill their collection boxes with, they even used them to find treasures inside when the rain prevented us from going outside.
While I was helping my twins with their project my oldest was busy creating her starlight lantern. She loved using the star punch and the glow in the dark stickers made it easy to assemble (I liked that part too, no messy glue to clean up after!) She was so proud of her creation and excited to read the “explore more” book with fun star facts and pictures of constellations.
Kiwi Crate also sent me two of their party favor crates and I can’t express how much I LOVED these! The party favor crates come in a package of 6 for $12 and the box can be customized to match your party theme. This pack includes all the materials and instructions needed to design and create paper doll outfits. Wouldn’t this be a fun party activity? As an event planner I’m always looking for creative and useful party favors the kids will love, and these fit the bill 100%!
If you are looking for creative ways to keep your kids entertained while encouraging learning, imaginative play and creativity then you will LOVE Kiwi Crate. There are several options you can choose from: You can order individual crates or subscribe to a monthly delivery that will automatically send a new crate to your kids each month. I think these would also make wonderful party favors or gifts too!
Now that I’ve gotten you interested in all the fun you can have with your kids and Kiwi Crate I want to give you a chance to win one! Use the Rafflecopter widget below to enter for your chance to win the Nature Explorer crate and provide hours of creative entertainment for your kids!
And if you are like me and can’t wait, you can order the Summer Discovery Crate that explores nature, water and flight with fun, educational science and art activities.
