Summer Camping Party

Have you ever gone on a Summer Campout? My family looks forward to camping, every Summer. We start planning our campout, months in advance. We get the family involved with choosing our campout location, and all the fun stuff that we want to include, such as fishing, and hiking!  Camping by the lake is one of our favorite spots. We're currently finishing up the planning stages of our 2015 Summer Campout. Before our family trip, I thought it would be a good idea to put together a mini Summer … [Read more...]

Cinnamon Swirl Cake Doughnuts

Every year, spring arrives in what seems to take a forever amount of time, and quickly turns into summer within a week. At least that is what it feels like in New England. We are fortunate to live in the middle of farm country in CT. We have Christmas tree farms to our right and left, blueberries and strawberries growing in our front yard and corn fields to the back. But the best part besides all of that local produce being within walking distance, is the homemade ice cream. Every year, they … [Read more...]

Farm Birthday Party

And on that farm, he had a cow... E-I-E-I-O! We are celebrating Lucy's 2nd birthday on the farm with all of our animal friends. Instead of a traditional dessert table full of small desserts, we decided to include the whole farm in one big cake. Our goal was to make a cake that had all of the birthday girl's favorite animal friends, but keep it mostly, if not completely, edible. That is just what we did! The base of the cake is a full sheet cake. We made a barn and silo out of rice krispie … [Read more...]

Fancy Flamingo Mother’s Day Party

Hi, it’s Laura Aguirre, from LAURA’S little PARTY! Today I’m sharing a fun twist to a pink flamingo themed party. I found a free printable from Hostess with the Mostess that truly set the tone, and inspired my Fancy Flamingo Mother’s Day party! Keeping in mind that us Moms don’t get a chance to put our feet up very often, I wanted this flamingo party to reflect a sparkly, festive, and relaxing atmosphere. To accomplish that, I set up a bar, mixed some fun cocktails, and set out my favorite … [Read more...]

I found this cute tea towel at TJ Maxx and it didn't take me long to figure out what I wanted to make. It is really long so I thought it would be perfect for a wall hanging! I will admit that the polka dots and scallop edging are what really drew me to it ;) We don't have very much spring decor, so this was the … [Read more...]
