I can’t believe it’s time to start thinking about school. It’s especially exciting for me this year because my oldest will be starting kindergarten!
I couldn’t let this major milestone pass without a celebration so I planned a Back to School party (details coming soon!) While shopping for supplies I came across these cute little containers at Staples and knew they would make the perfect candy apple treats for our friends.
Let’s start with your supplies. You’ll need:
– Lock-Ups Containers from Staples
– Red Jelly Beans (or other small red candies like Red Hots or Hot Tamales)
– Green scrapbook paper
– Red ribbon
– Stick
– Hot Glue Gun
Fill your container with the candy.
Using the hot glue gun attache the ribbon to the rim of the container’s lid.
Next, trace a leaf pattern on your scrapbook paper and cut it out. Fold it down the middle for a little extra dimension.
Cut your stick to make a small stem.
Finally, add your leaf and stem to the top of the lid with the hot glue gun.
Hand out your Back to School Apple Candy Treats to friends or make some for your new teacher!
