Cinco de Mayo has to be one of my favorite times of the year to celebrate. Maybe it’s because you can eat all the chips, salsa and guacamole you want. I could live on chips and salsa. Today I’ve got a party friendly 7 layer dip and Wholly Guacamole giveaway for you…just in time for Cinco de Mayo!
Make your 7 layer dip by layering beans, Wholly Guacamole, Sour cream, Roasted Tomato Salsa and cheese. Ok, mine is only 5 layer dip but my hubby doesn’t like olives and I don’t like onions so we left those out. Put them in individual serving cups for an easy party appetizer.
Serve with chips and Mexican soda on a bright festive platter. I found this cute “Fiesta” platter at Target in the dollar section and couldn’t resist. I also found some invitations in the dollar spot, which I cut and used to make my Mexican soda a little more festive.
Last month I had the opportunity to attend a chef event sponsored by Wholly Guacamole. We got to test out different recipes using Wholly Guacamole and their new salsas, meet and mingle with Chef Alex Thomopoulos and Chef Nathan Lippy. The best part of the experience was seeing how many different and delicious ways you can use guacamole and salsa in recipes. I’ve been a fan of this product for a while, but it never really occurred to me to use it in recipes or cooking like we did. We made gnocchi, frittata, salad and ice cream…yes guacamole ice cream and it was yummy!
Now it’s your turn to try some of Wholly Guacamole’s super tasty and all natural products. My friends at Wholly Guacamole want to give one lucky fan the chance to win a cooler full of Wholly Guacamole and Wholly Salsa.
There are so many recipe possibilities with these guacamole and salsas. Don’t believe me, just check out the HUNGRY You Tube Channel or www.eatwholly.com for more ideas and recipes!
